This place is amazing and so scenic! We wanted the Ollalieberry pie and Boysenberry pie but they were just starting to make a fresh batch when we arrived. We don't see these berries on the east coast so I was super excited to try them. Unfortunately we had a biking tour awaiting us so we had to get what was available - no regrets because everything was so good! We got a couple of double berry pies, a cherry and a dutch apple pie. Luckily they had Ollalieberry ice cream which we got to share between the four of us. The dutch apple was probably the best apple pie I have ever had! The pies were so delicate and scrumptious that it it weren't for the time constraint, I would have definitely waited another 2 hours for the Ollalieberry and Boysenberry pies.

A great place for fruit picking and/or pie! Came back for fruit picking after stopping by for some pie as we made our way back up from Monterey a month prior. The fruit-picking farm consists of a large patch of boysenberry "aisles". This is the first available stop where the payment/check-in/check-out tent is located at. The strawberry farm is located farther towards the end of the boysenberry patch. The distance is walkable, but many people suggested driving down, as there's also parking-- you would just have to leave your driver's license at the checkout booth, to ensure that you return and pay the price of the strawberries picked. Highly suggest picking up a bottle of apple blackberry juice while you're at the ranch! A customer in line warned me to NOT forget the bottle of juice in a hot car, unless a juice explosion is wanted. I shall relay the message here. Note: The fruit-picking farm has a different entrance than the Pie Shop. All in all, this was a cute place for an interactive experience, or just to grab some great pie! Do come earlier and not before closing, as they do sell out!

Getting close to nature is healing. Getting closer to people through nature is also healing. We came to pick some berries, and we were so stoked lol. Make sure to bring a hat and some comfy shoes cause it's gonna be sunny (most likely), and there's gonna be some dirt. Note that in one area, they have the boysenberries and olalliberries while a short walking distance away, they have the strawberry fields. The prices are decent with everything under $5/lb, and the quality of the fruits is top-tier. Everything (of course we chose the ripe fruits) we picked was juicy and perfectly tangy or sweet. These were literally thee sweetest and perfect strawberries I've had! Left happy and satisfied.

First time here! We came to enjoy pie and pick berries. Perfect weather! He had Dutch Apple pie and I had blackberry. Both were tasty. He got vanilla ice cream and shared it with me- perfect. The coffee was AWFUL. Only powdered creamer, no half and half, or milk. When I asked she gave me a splash of milk. The coffee was so bad had I known ahead of time I wouldn't have wasted her milk. Why have great pie and terrible coffee? Brew it half way decent or don't bother. The berry picking was fun! We picked a little over 3.5 lbs of Olallieberries. The staff over all wasn't that friendly. Everyone seemed like they were just trudging along. I'm glad there wasn't much reason to interact with them. We had fun and would return. BYOC next time.

This is a cute little place to visit, and they have berry picking and apple picking, depending on time of year. Make sure to give them a call before heading over. Three stars for the strawberry picking- there were loads of people and not enough strawberries. We picked like, 6, and were like, uh, that's pretty much it. Four star for the pie. It's not a large slice, but the crust was great, and so was the filling. Five stars for the strawberry shortcake. Giant and shareable between 2-3ppl. So, so good. So good, there are no words. There is a wait, though. Just stand in line and be patient. Take your pie and go outside to fine a bench and enjoy the out of doors. Parking was easy at strawberry picking (down the street from the pie eating); parking at pie eating was squishier, but doable. Easy place to find.

On a sunny Saturday morning, my girlfriends and I came to Gizdich Ranch to pick the first strawberry harvest of the season! This was my first time going strawberry picking and I had an excellent time. The strawberry field was lush with giant, juicy, red strawberries that can be picked for $3.65/lb. As you walk into the entrance of the farm, you can choose to buy an empty box for strawberry picking or you can bring your own bucket or bag to carry. My group and I brought our own tote bags and immediately got to work. This farm is super cute and perfect for a day out with family and friends. Since the field is not shaded by trees, I recommend bringing water, a hat, and wearing lots of sunscreen! Don't forget to bring comfy closed--toed shoes as well because the field has a lot of dirt and mud puddles at times. Once you come prepared you can take cute pictures with friends and enjoy the scenery! After picking, we brought our strawberries to the weigh station and headed a little further up the street to the Gizdich Ranch country store. Here, they had a gift shop where you can buy their famous pies, fresh squeezed apple juices, and souvenirs. They also have a food stand that sells delicious treats such as pies, ice cream, strawberry shortcake, apple slush, and sandwiches! I highly recommend trying their cherry pie with a scoop of their Olallieberry ice cream. A perfect treat on a warm spring day! I recommend coming to this part of the ranch early because it gets packed with visitors. My group and I waited about an hour and 15 minutes before we were able to order our food. Once we ordered, we sat in the lush, green picnic area overlooking the apple orchards. My friends and I had a great time here and plan on coming back when Olallieberry season begins!

My family has loves there pies and they have amazing apple juice. There owned buy a very nice lady too. Great for a date or family outing.

Such a charming place to visit! Mrs. Gizdich, the wife of the Founder's eldest son, greeted us at the parking entrance. There was a huge line for pie slices, but it was well worth it! Try the Ollalberry ice cream! The strawberry pies use whole strawberries. Later we took a look around and met with Mts. Gizdich again and heard her stories. The farm has grown from 10 acres to over 200 since its establishment, and it's all family-owned. This is a great piece of history and Americana.

Love the olallieberry pie and strawberry shortcake. Well worth the drive. Was also able to go strawberry picking which was super fun! Highly recommend for the summer!!

Getting to Gizdich Ranch is definitely half of the fun to enjoying this entire experience. I can't say I've ever driven through an area quite like this, and Gizdich is tucked away in what feels like a little corner of it all. It's quaint and rustic, as well as pretty simple. Pies, lots of pies. Lots of different pies in a fantastic array of fruit filled flavors. In the specials board I see golden raspberry, so of course I'm going for that. Boom. Nope. All out. Whaa whaa. So I try for olallieberry, which is apparently a blackberry hybrid that's a bit more tart, and boom, also sold out. So I got strawberry rhubarb, a classic, and it was so comforting. Big pieces of strawberry and slightly tart rhubarb with flaky pastry. Yum. Not the best pie I've ever had, but good. It felt like it had been sitting for a bit, so maybe it's better when it's super fresh, but definitely delicious. We also got the cider slushie! Great way to enjoy the cider here, but I secretly wish we'd gotten it as a float! We also tried the olallieberry ice cream, which was rich and creamy with a slight tartness from the real fruit. There's a cute grassy area with tables to eat and a rustic metal barn with tables too! We had a magical visit. After enjoying our treats, playing on their little playground, and snapping some great family pics, we heard the rain stampeding across the valley and got into the barn just before it began to pour! We got to watch the rain come down in buckets, drenching everything and drowning out sounds with its own melody bouncing off the metal roof and everything in sight. My kids were mesmerized by it l, watching in awe and playing with it imaginatively in the wide open doorway as it fell. Worth a visit? Purely subjective. We love these kinds of experiences!
